The LaPorte County Medical Society is a voluntary medical organization that unites over 300 practicing physicians in LaPorte County, Indiana and serves the citizens of LaPorte County in a variety of ways.

Representing practicing physicians from many varied specialties and fields of study, the Society provides the balance of organizational representation and the strength of a common voice for the many individual medical professionals throughout the community.

Founded in 1875, the Society is an active medical organization offering regular networking, social and educational opportunities – including frequent Continuing Medical Education classes.

The Society serves both its members and the residents of LaPorte County through:

Representation of practicing physicians on matters involving medical legislation with local, state and federal governments and forums
Sponsorship of Continuing Medical Education offerings for its members
Social networking and camaraderie with other LaPorte County practicing physicians
Acting as the medical voice for advancing, promoting and maintaining health and wellness in LaPorte County
Acting as an advocate for physician and patient rights at the local, state and national levels
Providing active communication with LaPorte County citizens on matters of medical concern
Providing an open avenue to all LaPorte County citizens for medical inquiries

The benefit gleaned from Society membership can be seen in our member body. It can also be felt by the citizens of LaPorte County who now have a single point of reference for medical inquiries.
